Ghost Adventures
Some people truly believe in ghost. If you are a believer we have found some great adventures for you! Some popular places to visit in our area that are said to be “haunted” are the Old Idaho State Penitentiary. It is said to be haunted although we found it interesting that there was only one person that had actually been sentenced to death. There were many deaths that occurred during the time that it was up and running but not court ordered deaths. The Geiser Grand Hotel located in Baker City, is another great place to visit. If you have nerves of steel you can stay the night at the hotel with the ghosts. One thing is for certain, you are guaranteed a clean room, good food and great service.

Week 3:
The Story of Colby Anderson and his Bear
My Dad and I were hunting black bears in unit 31 two weeks ago. We were driving down highway 72 and I looked up on the hill and saw a bear right up against a bush. Unfortunately it was on private property, so we went and found the owner of the property. After talking to the owner they said we could hunt on their grounds. I was really excited! We jumped back in the truck and drove back to where we saw the bear. The bear walked across the pasture, I got ready and I got him in my sights. I made a nice shot on him. He started rolling down the hill, and then his adrenalin kicked in. He was looking for something to fight so I shot him again, that finished him off. That’s the story of how I got my bear.
